The truth that Far Left candidates like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Anthony Brindisi won’t speak about as they make emotional appeals for votes in 2018 elections. The reality is simple “…the study estimated that doubling all federal individual and corporate income taxes would not fully cover the additional costs.” – CBS News
Even before the 2018 mid-term elections have become a curiosity in the minds of the public, some politicians are already pushing 30 second soundbites that omit and manipulate facts. We look at New York, from the local (Binghamton City Council race) to the federal (NY-22 congressional race), for a few examples of the misleading of the public. Voters beware, some seek to mislead you.
More often to not, if you look back far enough and analyze the facts, you can get a pretty good idea of what may happen in the future.
The UBI is the embodiment of that ‘right to equity’, which does not exist in the Constitution. It may be the lesser evil than the current system of entitlements, but they aren’t guaranteed either. As much as people like getting “free” stuff from Government, there is no right to it, nor is it ever free.
Self-delusion and self-aggrandizement provides no benefit to the American people. Democrats may hide behind a headline of 5% unemployment, but once even a glance is made to the underlying facts the failure cannot be obscured.
If the people of the New York 22nd congressional district are to be best served, and our nation is to have the brightest future, fear of the word “No” cannot be on the table.
All candidates for the NY-22 race deserve to be heard, and we will provide them all the opportunity to do so.
Under plans by candidates (Donald Trump and Sen. Bernie Sanders) that are wildly popular with large segments of their respective political parties, America as a whole will lose. America just cannot bankroll the radical economic policies of a Sanders or Trump presidency.
Thus I present the Congressional Accountable Pay Act, or C.A.P. Act. This is my solution to the pay of Congress. I believe it is fair, simple to understand, and takes into account both the benefits of members of Congress doing their job as well as modifications for when they do not.
When I first heard that Rep. Hanna has been selectively inviting individuals to meet with him in Vestal, NY on March 13, 2015 I had reservations. What I hope to hear is how Rep. Hanna’s actions are helping the nation and the NY-22. What I want to hear is that he has taken a position, and a willingness to let the public know what he actually plans on doing in our collective names. Whatever the outcome, I will present it. Objectively, as I cannot be bought nor can I be distracted with 30-second soundbites and political double talk.
