In part, this is not about the Rights of Americans, or those that would legally seek to become Americans. This is really about controlling thought and actions.
While the nation will enjoy fireworks today, the IRS will likely create political fireworks in the months to come as small business owners receive fines, and supporters of the Affordable Care Act come under fire to explain the logic behind the fine.
Thus getting a raise, a promotion, or changing jobs for a better paying one, can all cause the credit from the Government to decrease. The net outcome can be a hit to tax refundsĀ or even requiring payment to the IRS for the difference after the refund is wiped out..
It matter because this is about accountability. This is about an abuse of power by the IRS, against American citizens who were exercising their 1st Amendment rights. If any Agency or Branch of the Government is allowed to silence any amount of speech based solely on political preferences, and there is no accountability for that violation, then in effect the 1st Amendment ceases to exist.
How is it racist when people of color are supported for their political beliefs, while other people of color are not supported due to their job performance? Where does race factor in?
So we must ponder aloud, if everyone thinks its a scandal except the President then isn’t the President wrong instead of everyone else?
A wise man is silent until he has facts on which to speak about, but it is not wisdom to remain silent in the face of facts while the concerns of the people demand action.
This is political grandstanding. When placed into context, either President Obama had no connection or concern with the plight of the average American from 2009 right up til April 2013 or the belief is that the American people are too stupid to notice that this is a meaningless act meant to gain political favor.
Just maybe Warren Buffett needs to spend more time talking to Democrats about spending like a drunk sailor, no offense to sailors, than asking Republicans to do things he won’t do himself?
