Why is it historically those that complain about civility are the least civil? Perhaps its because some consider civility a part of political power. We address this troubling issue from its past to today.
There is no intrinsic benefit because you check the box. What is intrinsically true is that because you are being categorized you are being minimalized. You’re being diminished, because you are no more important than the box that you fill. That’s an important thing to keep in mind.

While voters may or may not agree with these personal statements, and facts, they should be considered. Most of these tweets and issues will never be addressed by the major media – instead minor side issues will grab the headlines. That is a disservice to the public.
Thus, the winner of the debate seems clear. Hillary Clinton lost the debate again. Expectations remain higher for Clinton to outperform Trump. But Clinton was matched almost point for point.
If anything, it is quite possible that the enthusiasm of many Republicans may be slightly dimmed and the hoped for rally by Democrats failed to catch fire. The next debate, in terms of moderation and questions asked and every facet of the candidates, will be very telling and may be the key in the race.
