Editorial – 8/28/21 demand for accountability

Michael Vass Vasquez

On August 28, 2021, we reached out to editorials across the United States and overseas. We submitted the following letter in hope of reaching the public and impressing on elected leaders the importance to act. Not just to have a gut-punch reaction, but to consider the consequences in a manner that apparently to-date has not been done.

The Biden-Harris Administration made many promises to America. Quite quickly every one of them are being broken, if not already shattered. The consequences have largely been deflected by some elected officials and major news agencies.

An open border that allowed 1.1 million to violate our laws. The rampant child abuse of over 40,000 seeking to take advantage of Democrat policies. Inflation levels unseen in decades, and climbing. Unprecedented numbers of
Americans enslaved to “stimulus” and “supplemental” payments. 14 million estimated to be evicted and/or face foreclosure.

Worst of all, 13 Servicemembers dead in a sickening suicidal attack by terrorists. At the same time our Government is directly stating that hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Americans will be left on deadly ground. Just to accommodate terrorists feelings, and the political agenda of Joe Biden. All with an understanding that the instability and threats will increase, near- and long-term.

Is it enough to demand the resignations of Gen. Milley, Secretary Blinken, Secretary Austin, and Joe Biden? No, but it is a start. Is there reason to believe Kamala Harris could be better? Absolutely not. Polls consistently show a majority of Americans have no confidence in any of the above.

But there must be accountability. Americans have died. Thousands potentially will follow. This cannot be merely forgotten as media seeks a more politically beneficial story to cover – like Medicare or Critical Race Theory diversity.

We must close the southern border. We must bring Americans home, safely. Our global allies need to be assured that we still support them. Not finally, we must address our economic breakdown.

It’s no small task. This will take a concerted effort, with massive attention to details and understanding of real consequences. It will require forestalling political agendas and re-election bravado. But we don’t have the time for
anything else.
