It’s Christmas for undocumented immigrants: The Green Light for driver’s licenses

Machiavellian politics

June 18, 2019 (9:45am) – In the virtual dead of night, Gov. Andrew Cuomo did his best imitation of Santa Claus. He rushed to sign Bill A3675B – named the Green Light for Driver’s Licenses by the media. Just hours earlier, the New York State Senate passed the unpopular Bill.

This is the controversial Bill that effectively shields illegal aliens (commonly called undocumented immigrants) from ICE and Federal immigration law. De facto, this adds to the Sanctuary status of the State. Most impressively, this directly nullifies the voices of the public as determined in multiple polls (by media and elected officials) conducted over several months.

We discuss some of the issues and consequences of defying the public will.
