Updates at VASS – political commentary

As long-time readers are well aware, we have been covering politics on the national, State, and local level for years now. Since 2006 we have been covering elections, from the Presidential to the mid-terms.

To help voters, and readers that just want a less media biased view, find information more quickly we have added a few categories to this blog. This expansion duplicates the articles written in the past, and gives you the chance to see not only the latest news and events but also those from years prior. Because it is not enough to be informed on what is happening now, we feel you need to know what was said, proposed, and done previously as well.

All the election coverages – local, State or Presidential elections – are meant to be informational. We don’t care how you vote, so long as you vote. To that end our interviews are as nuetral as possible. Our letters to candidates are based on platforms and issues of the time – where candidates from both sides have a chance to respond. Our review of voting records is culled from actual votes, direct comments, and video is from verified sources.

Just as we have said every election cycle, we don’t want to change your mind. We have no vested interest in any of the candidates – other than making sure you can get answers to your questions, and know as much detail as possible. We don’t care abut the trivial rumors, the personal attacks, just what affects the campaign promises, the votes, and the facts.

We strive to provide both sides of every election. We will do so again this year, hopefully getting a response from President Obama. We are already working on trying to secure interviews with several Republican presidential candidates. We expect that on the local level we will again be in the middle of the action.

Thus we suggest our articles in the new categories:

Presidential elections
New York elections
Tea Party
