Americans for Restoring the Constitution plan Philadelphia trip

While some in the media may be downplaying the continued existence of the Tea Party, the various organizations across the nation are continuing to stand by the principles that led to their organization. One such example is the Americans for Restoring the Constitution (AFRTC). Located in the Central New York/Southern Tier area, they are making plans to revisit the Constitution literally.

The following is a notice that we were given in the 21st of January.

AFRTC is pleased to announce our first group trip. We would like to invite all of our members and their family and friends to join us.

1 night/2 day Philadelphia National Constitution Center
Sunday-Monday — May 22-23, 2011


    2911 Watson Blvd. Endwell, NY 13760

** $256 per person double occupancy rates include:
– Round-trip motor coach transportation (departure point Brothers 2
Restaurant parking lot at 7am)
– 1 night accommodations at Holiday Inn Philadelphia Stadium
– 1 buffet breakfast & 1 dinner including gratuity
– 2 hour Tour of Philadelphia (combo walking/bus)
– Admission to National Constitution Center (3-4 hours to visit)
– Visit the Bourse Building
РVisit to Reading Terminal Market (One of America’s largest and oldest
public markets, housed since 1893 in a National Historic Landmark building)
– Baggage handling, driver gratuity, tour guide gratuity hotel taxes and
meal gratuities

* Rate is based on 40 people traveling. If less than 40 people sign up for trip
it can be cancelled (penalty free) and a new rate based on amount of people
traveling will be offered. Call the office for single, triple or quad occupancy

Itinerary: 22May……7am Depart Endwell area for Philadelphia (there will be one 30-minute stop for bathroom, fast food breakfast)
11am-1pm Meet guide for 2 hour tour of Philadelphia (Combo private walking & bus tour: stroll through what was the heart of Colonial Philadelphia–visiting the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Christ Church, Franklin’s Court-an 18th century garden, Elfreth’ Alley, and Society Hill.)
1pm-5pm Lunch (cost on own) / visit Constitution Center, Independence Hall, etc
530pm Hotel check in
630pm Dinner (at a local restaurant TBA)
7:30pm + Free time – There is a lounge at the hotel
23May……7am-9:30am Buffet Breakfast at hotel / check out
9:30am-1130am Free Time at Society Hill area to visit anything you may have missed
1130am-1:30pm Reading Terminal Market (can grab lunch before we head home)
1:30pm Make our way home (there will be one 30-minute stop)

$75 per person deposit to secure your seat with final payment due by 3/18/11
