Congressional candidates vie for Vestal New York voters by proxy

As reported previously, the Vestal Public Library was the center of the Central New York political world on Wednesday. Candidates on the local, State, and Federal levels were all present – or at least made sure that their representatives were there. The following is the coverage of the 2 competitors for the 22nd Congressional seat, incumbent Rep. Maurice Hinchey and challenger George Phillips.

Neither Rep. Maurice Hinchey nor George Phillips were available for the event due to scheduling conflicts. Both made sure that they had representatives present for the event sponsored by Americans for Restoring the Constitution. Speaking at the full capacity gathering were Dan Lamb on behalf of Rep. Hinchey and Jazz Shaw on behalf of George Phillips.

The following video covers the introduction of each representative as they presented the platform of the candidates, followed by the question and answer period. The questions were written by the constituents present to whichever candidate they had a question for, after the introductions, and presented to each candidate in random order.

We hope that this video helps to answer questions voters may have about the candidates and their platforms. If you have further questions for any candidate/incumbent in the mid-term elections please let us know and we will strive to get the candidates to provide an answer here for you.

Note – M V Consulting, Inc. does not advocate any candidate/incumbent or political party. We only seek to provide information for readers such that they may make an intelligent informed decision when they vote.
