I am honored to announce that on August 21st in Binghamton, New York I will be among a group of speakers invited by the Southern Tier Tea Party for the Tea Party Rally. The event will be taking place at 15 Henry Street, near the offices of Representative Maurice Hinchey and Senator Charles Schumer. Rep. Hinchey has also been invited to speak at the rally but has as yet failed to comment.
The speakers at the event besides myself include:
George Phillips (running against Rep. Hinchey)
Art Garrison (running to replace Lupardo)
Jason Stokes (running to replace Lupardo)
Pastor Gary Sawyer (Calvary Community Church)
Debbie Preston (Town of Conklin Supervisor)
Father K. (Sts. Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church)
There are several other speakers planned for the event that will run from 10am until 12 noon.
The theme of the event is to discuss and draw attention to the failure of Congress and the elected officials to respond to voter concerns about: the national debt, earmarks and Government waste, the reaction (or complete lack thereof) to the Arizona Immigration Law, the proposed increases of taxes, the economy, campaign promises and more.
I feel privledged to speak to the public directly and convey my thoughts on some of the pressing issues that are affecting this nation and the New York community. I am happy to join the other speakers, each of whom also display the sense of duty and public service that motivates my political commentaries. I expect that the event will draw the attention of the media (local and/or national) and as such highlight concerns that All Americans have today. It is those very concerns that the mid-term elections will sit squarely upon.
I invite any and all of my readers that are able to attend the event to come and hear what all the speakers have to say. I have no doubt that the impact the event will have will be worth the trip.
I look forward to seeing you at the event.
