Back to Copenhagen – President Obama to spread more hot air

Is it just me, or does anyone else think it’s useless for President Obama to be going to Demark for the global meeting on global warming. Which says nothing of how laughable his constant promises to present U.S. initiatives on global warming to the rest of the world.

Let’s just start with the basics.

The entire issue of global warming isn’t real. I’ve always said that, and we now know that dozens, perhaps hundreds, of scientists think the same thing. The only reason that the public has not heard about this is the fact, as proven by the Washington Post and New York Times, is that scientists in charge of the IPCC have hidden and literally forged data – while intimidating scientists – to make sure the public only hears their view.

“In a 1999 e-mail exchange about charts showing climate patterns over the last two millenniums, Phil Jones, a longtime climate researcher at the East Anglia Climate Research Unit, said he had used a “trick” employed by another scientist, Michael Mann, to “hide the decline” in temperatures.” – as verified by New York Times

“I can’t see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report,” [Phil] Jones writes. “Kevin and I will keep them out somehow — even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!” – from Phil Jones to Pennsylvania State University’s Michael E. Mann as verified by Washington Post

Like it or not, Al Gore and the various Liberal groups that have been spouting the global warming “emergency” have been at best misinformed, and at worst blatantly lying.

But let’s move past the fact that this is all just a money making, and political, idea. Let’s assume that somehow this is true, though all logic proves it wrong. The next problems are China and India. Neither of these countries is willing to adopt any form of global warming restrictions on their developing technologies. As a matter of fact they blame every nation that built anything over the last 200 years – in other words they blame America for providing the quality of life we all enjoy.

“Yu Qingtai [China’s top global warming guy] said it would be unfair for all countries to be required to combat global warming since most of the environmental damage has been caused by developed nations during their industrialization over the past 100 to 200 years.”

In fact, China demanded $100 million dollars (that America does not have) just to consider the changes President Obama and other government leaders will propose in Denmark. All of this says nothing of dozens of other 3rd world nations that are trying to develop technology and infrastructures as well, and they won’t stop just because Al Gore made a movie.

Why is China and India so important? Because if President Obama were able to completely achieve the changes to America he proposes, overnight, both China and India will create more than the CO2 reduced here apiece. I’ll say it again, those 2 nations will make as much CO2 and greenhouse gases each as America could save under any proposed plan. And that amount will grow every year as these nations seek to provide more of the lifestyle people in France, England and America enjoy every day. Hey I live a decent life comparatively, I can’t blame them for wanting to live better (which in many places means being elevated to the life of our poor).

But wait, it gets better. Not a single nation going to Copenhagen is willing to match what President Obama proposes America do. Not one nation, including the whiny French, will damage their economies and cause the quality of life of their people to suffer to the degree that President Obama, Al Gore, and liberals want the American public to do. They all expect America to resolve the problem by itself, even though by their claims this is a global problem.

And there is still more. What President Obama is offering boldly on MSNBC, won’t even happen. Because Congress passes laws and not the President, and Congress can’t pass the Cap & Trade Bill – yet. It may be the only instance where the inefficiency of Congress is working in favor of the American people.

Keep in mind that the Cap & Trade Bill will double, perhaps triple, the cost of electricity for every business and person in America. The cost of gasoline could double. Which means besides having to pay 2x as much on your electric bill every month, the cost of EVERYTHING sold in this nation would increase to cover the new tax… excuse me cost. The cost is estimated to be as high as perhaps $3000 per family per year in America – not counting the increase in every item produced, sold, or transported in America. And that’s just the first part of the Obama Administration plan. Many liberals want even more sooner.

The real cap in the feather of all this is what it means if all this greenhouse gas reductions are enacted to the extent that Al Gore proposes. It would basically mean (from my estimates) that 80% of televisions, every cell phone, all video games, 75% of all cars, and a hell of a lot more would have go away. To reach a reduction of 80% almost all the comforts Americans enjoy right now would have to be eliminated, and the cost of the few that would remain would be so high that the overwhelming majority of Americans could not afford them.

Right about now the eco-fanatics are ready to blow. They want to insist that what I have just said is untrue. That solar, geothermal, wind, biogas, ethanol and other forms of renewable energy (not including nuclear) would make up the difference. Which is a lie. Sounds great, but they leave out a few facts.

Solar does not work. You could cover the entire state of Texas with solar panels and still not be able to run the United States for a day. They just aren’t efficient enough. Geothermal also does not work. Wind is even less reliable and far less efficient. Biogas is so bad that it cannot run anything bitter than roughly a town of 500 for a little while. And ethanol is so inefficient that it takes 25% more to run anything at levels of gas and oil now. Thus the extra needed just to travel in a car the same distance as gas, creates more waste than the gas by itself. And that doesn’t include the increased cost to food (which have already gone up because of ethanol) or the dead ocean effect that it is believe to create, as it is doing in the Sea of Mexico.

The best yet is that the science to even try to improve any of this is still over a decade away, at the best hope. Solar and Wind have been ideas people have been working on for DECADES without improvement, so who knows how long that will take.

But in the meantime, the eco-fanatics want to remove your ability to enjoy your life right now. Because they know better, and they think you don’t need the things you have/use every day. Besides, they know that the world will boil (eventually) according to the “science” that they have manipulated and isolated.

Global warming is a joke, that is lining the pockets of politicians like Speaker Nancy Pelosi (who owns stock in renewable wind energy corporations – and she oddly advocates only wind energy) at the expense of the public. It is a means of changing the choices available to free people, such that they have to conform to the goals of someone else since they can’t afford another option. It is yet another means of growing the Government, and socializing the nation.

Given all these factors, President Obama still gets on MSNBC and proclaims that he is going to change the climate after going to Copenhagen. That America is going to stop all the horrible waste (ie. food production, transportation, air conditioners, heaters, ect.) that it has. Well some of America will. The people who can’t afford the price increases. People that can’t afford to use 12x the average Americans monthly energy use like Al Gore. People that aren’t as important as Congress who fly on jets weekly or daily across the country. People that aren’t President Obama, who flies on a regular basis to take his wife out to dinner or jaunts over to Europe (with a separate plane for his wife).

What will happen in Copenhagen? 75 world leaders will increase the amount of CO2 and greenhouse gases as they fly from all over the world and speak ad nauseum about the grand plans they have. Then they all will fly back to their respective homes and do nothing. Honestly they could have the same effect with emails, and not create as much pollution.
